support@nextpcb.comThis year IPC, the Global Association for Electronics Manufacturing hosted the 16th Electronics Circuits World Convention (ECWC16) and IPC APEX Expo where HQ NextPCB of HQ Electronics demonstrated it's EMS capabilities and positioned themself in the electronics manufacturing industry.
IPC APEX Expo 2024 in April saw equipment and materials manufacturers, PCB fabricators and assembly houses, OEMs and electronic manufacturing service (EMS) providers showcase their latest offerings and developments in the electronics manufacturing space. The industry's largest event in North America, the Anaheim Convention Center in Los Angeles saw over 7000 visitors from 57 countries engage in productive business development and networking.
As HQ NextPCB's first IPC APEX appearance, the show exceeded expectations and saw meaningful and insightful conversations with prime customers, resulting in numerous new leads from both old and new faces. HQ Electronics' overseas strategy aims to promote greater awareness of the international divisions, HQ NextPCB and HQ Online and HQ Electronics as a whole in key markets by creating more opportunities for open dialogue with businesses and to listen to their challenges.
Reflecting on the event, HQ NextPCB representative Carmen Zheng commented, "It was very rewarding to refresh old bonds and finally be able to put names to faces, or faces to names rather. Learning about the needs of local contract manufacturers and product developers was truly an eye-opening experience, something we would have never gained sitting in front of a desk halfway across the world.
As an expo participant, I suddenly became the kid in the sweet shop. It was nice to see so many familiar names from our equipment manufacturers and suppliers like Juki, ASMPT, Heller, Anda, Rogers and Taiyo Ink and learn about some of the recent developments in staggered via design, deep microvias and injection molded heat sinks to name a few. We also had some friendly and insightful talks with others in the same trade, both locally and from back home."
A highlight of the event for HQ NextPCB was meeting long-term client Calvin Taylor of Warn Industries alongside his daughter Kelly.
"One of the most touching aspects of participating in exhibitions is the opportunity to meet our customers, particularly those who've journeyed alongside us as they've grown. Listening to their stories, from the birth of a prototype to its evolution into mass production, fills our team with an immense sense of pride. We are deeply thankful for the trust our customers place in us, and it is an honour to be seen as a steadfast partner in their supply chain." said Ivy Li, Head of International Business at HQ Electronics

In addition, the expo presented the rare opportunity to give one-to-one demonstrations of the PCB analysis software HQDFM.
"We were pleasantly surprised to learn of how much HQDFM could help contract manufacturers, especially local businesses with smaller operations. Often, the people on the receiving end are not PCB designers and they just pass on the feedback from PCB manufacturers which wastes time and can lead to misinterpretations. As an international manufacturer based in China, it's something we know too well and HQDFM was designed to help with this via education, automation and other handy tools for anyone who needs to look at PCB production data. It's rare for a company to be able to offer such an invaluable service complelely free without expecting anything in return and we could feel visitors were genuinely grateful for taking the time to introduce HQDFM to them." said Carmen, International Marketing Manager/DFM Engineer at HQ Electronics.
We will be looking forward to IPC APEX 2025 and furthering our participation to another level, see you next year!
